Absolutely Typical

Late last month, Kerry gave the Navy permission to send the documents to the Boston Globe. Of course, one would ask why he was sending it to a MSM meida source before he sent it off to the people that demanded it the most. People like me, and the rest of the bloggers; put it out in the open, and shut all of us up. We had hoped as much, as Captain Ed had reported just a little over a coupld months ago that Kerry had finally agreed to sign his SF-180.

Then came the excuse he was letting "his people " pour over the documents to separate what was relevant from what wasn’t. More stalling tactics, and now we know why. His staffers were preparing the records for the MSM so he wouldn’t look bad. Whoops. Someone should have told him school transcripts also carry some weight, as we find out that Kerry wasn’t even close to exceeding Pres. Bush in terms of "intellectual" capacity. They were about dead even. So much for the "Bush is an idiot" lie that the Left’s been peddling. Kerry fared no better.

Then comes this. A key quote in the Globe piece, and it says it all. The reason why he wouldn’t address those critical of his service—a record he ran on and opened himself up to—and critical of his time in the Senate. He focused little, if anything, on his Senate votes. Oh no. He couldn’t address that. He would have been eaten alive by his enemies over citing his Senate voting record.

And his enemies—those that disagreed with him on many issues—were circling in for the kill. If he hadn’t handed the bloggers a prime opportunity like he had, he might have still had a chance. But the moment his Cambodia story hit the blogosphere, the campaign was done. We crushed him over that story. We dissected it’s content, demanded proof of the CIA operative, rebutted the insanely stupid idea that he ferried SEALS up into Cambodia, and left nothing but a smoking shell behind.

But Kerry has a different reason as to why he refused to deal with his military record during the last election, despite the fact he was running on it.
"Asked why he delayed signing the form for so long, Kerry said in a written response: ‘The call for me to sign a 180 form came from the same partisan operatives who were lying about my record on a daily basis on the Web and in the right-wing media. Even though the media was discrediting them, they continued to lie. I felt strongly that we shouldn't kowtow to them and their attempts to drag their lies out.'"

First off, WE may be partisan (the blogosphere) but we’re far more fairer than the MSM. We’ve proven that time after time. I don’t care if you’ve got a ‘D’ or an ‘R’ next to your name. You screw up? Congrats; you fell into my cross-hairs. And Kerry did. He filled it up quite nicely with this insane allegation that he took men up into Cambodia on a Swift Boat; a vehical that is anything but silent, and wouldn’t have been used by our spec-ops and clandestine forces at the time. Can anyone say "target practice"? I knew you could.

The media wasn’t discrediting a single thing. The MSM, much like their Left counterparts opted to "change the debate. Or rather, they decided to change the topic. Gone was Kerry’s allegations, and in place we had more hype and pap about his medals; medals or ribbons, it matters not, he threw them away. That was until it was discovered that he didn’t throw "THEM" away. He threw another soldier’s medals and ribbons away. And yet one more lie is unraveled.

And we weren’t asking for him to "kowtow" to us. As voters—as citizens of this nation voting for the commander-in-chief, and chief executive officer—we had a right to know. He refused to address these issues, and the pressure continued to mount on him. The pressure mounted so much that once the election was still over, our only answer to Kerry when he stood up and spoke was "Have you signed your Form 180? No? Then keep quiet". That’s our right, and frankly, that’s our "duty" to this nation. We wanted answers. We got none. So, we beat on him harder.

The harder we beat, the more was revealed. He was already in enough trouble over his Senate record—both the attendance and the voting records. He didn’t want to address it, and decided to hang his hat on his service record from a war from thirty years ago that has no bearing, and little similarity, with the war we’re in today. It’s typical that he would still lash out at those that held him accountable, and while he didn’t lose his job in the Senate, he was prevented from achieving the highest office in the nation.

Oh, and a little aside here: There’s no mention of any "secret" or "clandestine" operations performed by then-Lieutenant John F. Kerry into Cambodia. The MSM is claiming it is his school transcripts that would have shown there was little difference in "intellect" between him and Pres. Bush. But the damning fact is that his military service was not all he painted for America.

Good blog and I hope we never see or hear from again. In my humble opinion, he's a traitor in more ways than one. He gave aid and comfort to the enemy. I've said this before and I would tell him that to his face and what he did are grounds for hanging. Rawriter

Jen,

It may be a "great blog", but Kerry still has a long way to go to gain ANY redemption in the eyes of the American people.

This man still wishes to be president, and that is, to say the least, a scary prospect. Alone, that is based on his school transcripts. And I will grant the Left that President Bush's is not all that much better, but at least President Bush recognizes what is necessary for a commander-in-chief of a nation.

Kerry's record of attendence in the Senate makes me sick; if I had such a record at school, I would not have made the Dean's List. A prospect that I disregarded, disbelieved, and never entered into my mind as I was going thorough the first semester. I just wanted the first semster over with.

And I disregard anyone who criticizes this entry. Why? Because Thomas is correct. Rather than focusing on Kerry's education (as the MSM has, turning aside the basis of the release of the records) his military records show no significance.

There was nothing within his record, of note, and further, as Thomas pointed out, there is no mention of the lie he maintained and switched during the campaign.

He did nothing with special operations in Vietnam. He had no contact with SEALS or CIA operatives of any note worthy of being in his record. He did not operations in Cambodia. Were someone of the tin-foil hat variety, you could make an argument for a "government conspiracy". I am not, and neither is Thomas. There is no "conspiracy" to cover up his service. He lied. He was caught. End of story.

And as to the MSM's venting of this topic, it is a last gasp towards someonbe they appreciated and supported, nothing more. This is an attempt--more from Kerry than anyone else--to continue to show his relevance, or lack thereof, to America.

Based on this alone, I would say at this point that the front-runners for 2008 on the Democrat side of the ticket are Hillary, and Gov. Richardson--but only if he decides to run.

Hillary will be mud-stomped in the primaries. There are enough bloggers that have kept tabs on her, just ready to let loose. WE, as bloggers, will command the primaries. In the general election for 2006 and 2008, we may have some pull, but our greatest strength is within our own states in the primaries.

A focused assault against a candidate we dislike in our home state will carry more weight than that of an outsider--like Thomas or I--attacking Olympia Snowe running for reelection in Maine.

Kerry is nowhere close to the Democrat Party's nomination. And the more deseperately that he tries to put himself in front, the worse he looks. This incident is precisely the reason why he lost.

He was a day late and dollar short in November, and he is so now in June of 2005; a good eight months later.

I might add that one your blog today, it was admitted that Kerry didn't release his full records.

Kerry doesn't want America to see his sins of the past.
