Transition...
We are going through a certain amount of fluzes here at the Asylum. Some things are about to change.
Don't worry, we're still here. But some changes are on the way. For the next few days, we'll be working on them. For those that know us--personally--the changes are not along idelogical lines. We're still sane, but over the last few days, we've talked about a few things.
Thomas posted on his original site--his very first post--that a change was in the air. Life, in and of itself, is full of change. We adapt to things we do not know, nor understand. Adaptation, transition, this is all a part of life.
Marcie and I expect to come back--and soon--with batteries recharged, and ready for the fight that lies ahead. Many people criticize us--including a few regular readers--for thinking only of fhting, of being combative. In this world--right now, as it stands--only the strong survive. We plan on being there when all hell comes down. And we hope to be on the right side of the fight.
We are sure we will be. Thus far, we have been. We have not been dishonest with our readers. We have been upfront, factual, and sometimes blunt, with those that are regulars here. We do not have the hits we expected. And as Thomas is often fond of saying: "Life is full of disappointments. It is a challenge to be overcome, and show the world that we do matter."
Actually, the exact quote is: "Life's full of disappointments; get used to them, and prove your detractors wrong." We will. Believe me, we will. We already have. So many people belived this sort of format couldn't and wouldn't succeed. On the contrary, we have been picked up twice by syndicated columnists (which is nothing to brag about; big deal) and have been picked up by one nationally-syndicated talk show host. Again, not a big deal.
Had we wanted to be famous, we would have subscribed to the modern-day mentality of noteriety; get famous by outrageous/controversial acts. That is not us. That is not the Asylum. Yes, we may be a bit "looney" from time to time, but we are still grounded in reality; a controlling variable that even the Left cannot find.
But, all in all, we will still be here. We haven't disappeared. We're still here. But some things take time. We have both agreed that--barring any unforeseen news event--we will not post until we are ready. This is not an afront to those that read us. Yes, we will suffer from the lack of hits to our site, but we don't do this for the hits. We do to a point, but life does have it's little twists and turns. And it also has its nuances which can't be predicted. Because of that, we have agreed to stop posting for a little bit.
We can assure you that we will be right back here by the end of the month, if not before then, posting and keeping people abreast of what's going on. Until then, we trust in those we read to keep the fight going. We've posted the links to these sites several times. Hit our archives, and check them out. These are the best of the best--those far above us. If you like us, then check them out.
And, above all, keep coming back here. We shoudl be right back into the thick of things once Roberts hits the committee. (Of this, we're hoping.) Until then, we'll see you all on the flip side, or in the next life.
Yours...Truly,
The Bunny ;), & Publius II

I am anxious for you to get somewhat settled and blog once again. The left or whatever one calls them, seems to have run out of people to attack and have stooped to criticizing Bush's time away from DC. LOL. Rawriter
Raw,
All the better for us. Downtime right now will benefit us both greatly. Espcially me as I've got a few things in the shadows I'm trying to get together.
Thomas
