If Ever There Was A Reason...

...For wanting the expulsion of these people from our shores to further protect this nation, this story that was picked up by Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs is a prime example.

FORT WORTH — At home and off duty, Fort Worth Police Detective Scott Campbell never lets two semi-automatic Glock .45s stray far from his shooting hand. He sleeps with one, and while awake, he eats and watches television with both weapons close by. Det. Campbell’s wife keeps a loaded gun close at hand too, even though she is a stay-at-home mom who cares for the couple’s two young children, ages 4 and 1.

Det. Campbell and his wife go to these extraordinary lengths because they and their children have been marked for assassination. A ruthless crime family he spent years investigating and helped break up in 2003 wants them dead. Federal authorities confirm that the Palestinian gang known as the "Ghali crime family," which ran one of the nation’s most prolific retail theft rings from Fort Worth, has hatched what one top official called a "credible" plot from behind bars.

The plot targets Campbell, his family, and Campbell’s longtime partner in the investigations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agent Scott Springer.

Along the way, agents listening in on conversations would hear expressions of strong anti-American sentiment and a deep disdain for American institutions. Det. Campbell said these expressions reveal a general attitutude that helps explain how the Ghali crime organization could pursue assassination and bribery plots against law enforcement officials. For instance, agents were listening in when Ghali and several of his associates watched Arabic news channel reports about the impending U.S. invasion of Iraq.

According to translated transcripts, Ghali said he hoped Iraqi troops "use chemical gas and see hundreds of American soldiers dying of gas."
Det. Campbell said it sometimes was difficult to monitor the diatribes while undercover.

"You hear these individuals come in and talk about President Bush, Iraq , how they hated us. I mean, these individuals here hated us. They wanted us dead. Their main complaint was how they hated our freedoms over here, how we were too fortunate to have freedoms like we have and that some of those freedoms have to be taken away and that we should pay for the sins of being Americans and Christians."

As the investigation of the Ghali organization continued, prosecutors decided it should be handled strictly as a criminal matter rather than a terror investigation. The decision was in line with an unwritten Department of Justice directive for federal investigative agencies to use the quickest legal means to jail or deport anyone with suspected terrorist ties. It therefore remains unclear where the millions generated by the Ghali organization ended up. Records show the crime family spent relatively little on themselves in North Texas and sent the bulk of their profits to the Middle East, where authorities pretty much lost the trail.

Ladies and gentlemen, friends and "family", I do not wish to sound alarmist, however it is disgusting to see that a member of our law enforcement community has to live like this. I know we see movies and TV shows showing cops going through this sort of thing a lot. But that is not how it is in America. One is fantasy, and one is reality, get it?

Det. Campbell should not have to live this way, his family should not have to live in fear. And all of it comes from the inability for our leaders and lawmakers to address the issue of who is and who is not acceptable here in this nation. First off, a number of wise friends and fellow bloggers have pointed out that illegal means illegal; if you are here and have not gone through the proper process of being here via visa, green card, etc., then you are here illegally.

Want to know what that used to mean? That USED to mean that you had no rights, protections, or benefits under the law. Our courts and our leaders have turned a blind eye to this issue. I live in AZ. Thomas lives in AZ. We see what illegal immigration is doing to our state. The state of Arizona paid out 1.4 billion last year in medical benefits, welfare benefits, and incarceration costs for our illegal populace. And those are just the ones coming over the border from Mexico.

But what Det. Campbell is facing is much greater than an illegal taking a job that an American could have. Det. Campbell is facing a group of Middle-Eastern terrorists that are not happy he upset their day. Whoops. Boo-hoo; he was doing his job, and they were breaking the law. Worse yet, he stumbled onto something greater than that. He stumbled on the fact that these particular people were sending money to their terrorist buddies.

To the Left, these "fictional" characters are the equivalent of Emmanual Goldstein in Orwell’s classic 1984, but these people are real. They are here, and they continue to work in undermining us, our security, and our well-being. They can blame everything wrong on the president and his pursuit of this "boogey-man" that "doesn’t exist", but Det. Campbell is an example of what happens when the "boogey-man" is real.

This nation is at risk all over it’s security—both within and without. It’s borders are porous, and our border patrol is being told to be nice, and to be kind, and not to offend those coming across. EXCUSE ME, but this is the United States. We do have laws, and those laws—that Constitution—is what matters most to me. Both those on the Democrat and Republican side have turned a blind eye to the issue long enough. WE are at war. Secure borders are necessary during times like this.

And Congress’ incessant stupidity in regard to our borders is driving me batty. I want it known that—as of this moment—I absolve the border patrol of this problem; it originated in Washington, DC. When Washington says to back off the issue, those involved with border enforcement do precisely what they are told. So, I cannot fault them for following orders.

But I do fault those in Washington that have taken oaths to uphold out Constitution, and fail to do so. WE citizens should not have to live in fear for our lives. This ticks me off more than anything. The law enforcement in this nation is supposed "to protect and serve" the citizenry. The military does it abrod. The cops do it right here at home. Can anyone imagine if the police were scared to venture out? The largest street gang in Los Angeles, according to LAPD, is a group of illegal Mexican nationals. They number close to fifty thousand. I am sorry, but they can go, along with the Muslims here illegally that have the utter audacity to challenge us.

I have a news bulletin for them: Try it, and see how quickly the people of this nation will stand against you, and no political movement is going to dissuade this nation if another heinous attack is carried out. People are ticked enough at the crime committed by illegal aliens in this nation; imagine the outrage if the illegals carrying out these crimes were not of Mexico, or other nations south of the border, but of Middle-Eastern descent and heritage.

Newsweek almost provoked a holy war over an erroneous report that they did not even have the guts to admit to fully. And that was over faulty journalism!

Point being is that, in now way, should this police officer have to live like this. Let us PLEASE get control of who comes into this nation before it is destroyed. Machiavelli wrote, in speaking of the success of Sparta for so long:

"It was, however, mainly two things which brought this union [between the plebs and nobility] about: 1) the smallness of Sparta’s population, which made it possible for a few to rule, and 2) the exclusion of foreigners from the state, which gave it no chance either to be come corrupt or to become so unwieldy that it could no longer be managed by the few who governed it."

I am not advocating the removal of any one in America from a foreign land, just those here illegally. Go home, and make your way here legally. You and your illegal ilk are not welcome here—by ANY stretch of the imagination—you cost too much, and you are far too much hassle for your presence to be here. You belong here only at our sufferance.

Guess what? That time has come. Our patience is at an end.

The Bunny ;)
