Cowards Abroad...
We know how the Left loves to go to another nation to levy their nastiest comments on the administration. How many Hollywood celebrities have done this? Jim McDermott and David Bonoir--both Democrat Representatives in the House--stood in Baghdad and accused the president of "rushing to war without evidence" of wrongdoing. The Left just loves to badmouth the country when they're on foreign soil. Maybe they hope it conveys to that sovereign government that they're just like them--embarrassed by the United States and it's actions over the last three-plus years.
But when will they draw the line? Where is the "line in the sand" that they shouldn't cross? Some believe there is no such line. On the contrary, an invisible line does indeed exist. Take the comments by Stansfield Turner--the CIA's director under Carter--and see if he crosses a line...(HT: PowerLine)

The devastating accusations have been made by Admiral Stansfield Turner who labelled Dick Cheney "a vice president for torture".
He said: "We have crossed the line into dangerous territory".
The American Senate says torture should be banned - whatever the justification. But President Bush has threatened to veto their ruling.
The former spymaster claims President Bush is not telling the truth when he says that torture is not a method used by the US.
Speaking of Bush's claims that the US does not use torture, Admiral Turner, who ran the CIA from 1977 to 1981, said: "I do not believe him".
On Dick Cheney he said "I'm embarrassed the United States has a vice president for torture.
"He condones torture, what else is he?".
Admiral Turner claims the secret CIA prisons used for torture are known as 'black sites', terror suspects are picked up in places like Afghanistan and Pakistan.
They are flown by CIA-controlled private aircraft to countries where there are secret interrogation centres, operating outside any country's jurisdiction.
No one will confirm their locations, but there are several possibilities: The Mihail-Kogalniceanu military airbase in Romania is believed by many to be one such facility.
Admiral Turner's remarks were echoed by Republican Senator John McCain, himself a victim of torture in Vietnam.
He said torturing to get information was immoral, was not effective and encouraged potential enemies to do the same to Americans.
Both Mr Bush and Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice have repeatedly stated that torture by US forces is not condoned.
I'm breathless with anticipation of Mr. Turner's proof. Such an allegation has to have the burden of proof behind it. This is a devastating charge. Not only could this be considered slander, but also treasonous. His words--his charge--gives "comfort" to our enemies. It aids them in their cause, especially within the manual they use. This manual has been bandied about the Internet for quite some time. It expressly states that al-Qaeda members, if caught and detained, are to state they were abused and tortured.
Mr. Turners' allegation is no different than Sen. Durbin's made a couple months back when he compared our troops to Nazi and Stalinist thugs. Again, the charge was leveled that our troops were, indeed, torturing people. The United States does not condone torture, nor does it participate in such actions. Yes, there are interrogation methods that we use that go beyond name, rank, and serial number, but it is not torture. We have guards reading Harry Potter books to detainees at Gitmo. Oh yeah, that's torture. Had they really wanted to torture these guys, they'd pipe in Hillary's book on audio "It Takes A Village." (BTW, has anyone informed Hillary that her village called, and they miss their idiot?)
The Left has no concept of what torture is. I'm sure that heroes of theirs (Kim Jong-Il included) would be able to show them what torture really is. The history of Stalin and his repressive regime is regularly argued by Leftist revisionists. He was an "agrarian reformer," nothing else. Right, and I'm Ronald Reagan. The Left sees torture coming from us, the troops, and the CIA, but they have no proof. And no, Abu Ghraib and Gitmo don't count. At Abu Ghraib, that was abuse. At Gitmo the use "unorthodox" methods for interrogation--like Harry Potter, or "bribing" the detainees with chcoloate.
Mr. Turner has no idea what he's talking about. He just another member of the Left--that fifth-column attempting to undermine our war on terror--who has no guts to say this US soil. He'd prefer that people just accept his words at face value, and be done with it. Believe me, his fellow Leftists will. Our enemies will. But America won't, and they won't because we know his allegations aren't true. He's a liar, just like the rest of the Left, and also like the Left, he lacks the courage of his convictions.
