One Good Thing ...
... doesn't excuse all the mistakes one has made in life ...

Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, who could face criminal charges for allegedly punching a Capitol police officer in Washington, D.C., has signed on as a co-sponsor of a House bill formally honoring Capitol Police officers.
The bill is House Resolution 756, which would officially “Express the gratitude and appreciation of the House of Representatives to the professionalism and dedication of the United States Capitol Police”.
The bill was submitted on April 4, one week after the incident between Ms. McKinney and Capitol police officer Paul McKenna. At the time, Ms. McKinney’s supporters said the legislation was an attempt to embarrass the six-term Congresswoman from DeKalb County. 39 of the other 40 co-sponsors are Republicans.
OK, so here's the question for all the inmates of the Asylum:
Does anyone really buy the faux "gratitude" of Cynthia McKinney? Really? Anyone?
I didn't think so. And this isn't going to be able to be used against the grand jury still investigating as to whether or not an indictment should handed down. She should be indicted, and she should face the appropriate punishment for the crime she committed. And using the sympathy side of this issue, as McKinney clearly is, shouldn't mean squat. She still believes that all of her past actions were justified because of the racist DC police. And racist isn't my word. It's what she basically accuses the police of everytime she has one of these incidents.
Her attachment to such a bill is clearly a pandering move. And mark my words, someday she will have another run-in with the police if the grand jury gives her a pass.
