BBC Reporter Busted For Lying
Drinking From Home explains how Orla Guerin was caught, red-handed, lying about the so-called "absolute" destruction of Bint Jbeil during the Israeli conflict. Go there, and see the phtos and screen captures he has. He breaks it down by using a report--from the same area--made by Alex Thomson from Channel Four News in Britain. The area is exactly the same area, just a couple of short blocks from an area of Bint Jbeil that Alex Thomson stated that it is the center of the town that is heavily damaged.

In Ms. Guerin's report, she stated that the entire town was destroyed:
"We've been walking for a few minutes now. The damage here is absolutely incredible." ...
..."I haven’t seen a single building that isn't damaged in some way. Many have been flattened, many have been singed. This town has really been wiped out."
Contrast that with Mr. Thomson's report:
"As you can see, the centre of the town destroyed on a really wholesale scale, more so than since the last civilians left here, though it has to be said that on the outskirts, the suburbs - pretty much untouched by the Israeli attack and invasion."
There is a camera shot that follows this statement that shows the town from a distance to confirm exactly what Mr. Thomson said. Then he adds this:
"Across the valley, the outer areas of town virtually intact. The central streets, though, in a pitiful state."
Doesn't exactly give the message that Ms. Guerin portrays now, is it. What is on display in her report is her apparent dislike of the Israelis; at the very least she shares the same worldview that most in the MSM share which is war is bad. People get hurt. Civilians die.
Yep, and so do soldiers. But the MSM has never really paid attention to them. after all, most of them look at a soldier as a member of the "little people;" servants best not seen at their posh restaurants, and these people wouldn't show respect to a soldier if their lives depended on it. Nice to see that the BBC is just about as trustworthy as Reuters, and we thought that was a low that couldn;t be matched by anyone in the MSM.
