Barbarism And Depravity: The Tactics Of Our Enemies
All right; enough of the talk about the followers of Islam being "peaceful" and "upstanding" people. While that may be true for a silent majority (of which we wish they would speak up more often and louder) British authorities have a husband and wife in custody. These two people are a part of twenty-three individuals picked up in the secondary sweep of suspects in Operation Bojinka: Part Deux. And, well, as Charles at LGF points out, they are literally the family planning to kill together:
A HUSBAND and wife arrested in the British terror raids allegedly planned to take their six-month-old baby on a mid-air suicide mission.
Scotland Yard police are quizzing Abdula Ahmed Ali, 25, and his 23-year-old wife Cossor over suspicions they were to use their baby's bottle to hide a liquid bomb.
The theory is one of the reasons security chiefs are now insisting mothers taste babies' milk at check-in desks before allowing them to take bottles aboard flights.
The pair are among up to 23 suspects being questioned over a plot to bring down nine airliners over five US cities, killing thousands of people in the air and on the ground.
The questioning of the group comes as British Government sources yesterday revealed many of those suspects posed as relief workers to travel to al-Qaeda training camps in Pakistan.
It has also been revealed that security services are secretly monitoring "dozens" of fresh plots involving hundreds of suspects which could be unleashed at any time.
One government source said at least 30 priority cases were under urgent investigation.
Should this revelation prove to be true, it is a disgusting thought. As a woman I have a problem with women who embrace abortion. I cannot fathom a wife and mother willing to allow this to happen to her child. Children are the most innocent people on Earth. They are contiual reminders of happiness, fun, and youth. And here are these parents, willing to use their child as a means to deliver a bomb on a plane full of innocent people in a plot to kill thousands.
What also caught my eye was the fact that they were travelling as "relief workers" to Pakistan to attend al-Qaeda camps. That brings forth the question of precisely what the Hell President Musharraf is doing over there? He cannot seem to handle the al-Qaeda element in his country, and the Taliban element that is likely stirring up his populace. This marks the second story in three weeks that makes me question where Musharraf's loyalties lie in this war. If he is doing this to play both sides against the middle, he will lose in the long run to the United States.
I am personally sickened to see this story. As I said before, I cannot possibly comprehend what would make a parent do this.
