Again With North Korea...
North Korea is once again in the news. Their missile test has everyone around the region scared. OK. I understand that they are saber-rattling, but this is something that was done in the 1990s, and it brought Pres. Clinton to the negotiating tables where he and his administration were "duped", based on Madeline "Not-So-Bright" Albright’s admission late last year. And now North Korea has nukes, or so they say, and Washington, DC is wetting it’s pants.
Chill. Trust me, this is nothing new. North Korea boasted that they had nukes in the ‘90s, and I’m not discounting their claim now, but you people really just need to calm down. Yes, North Korea has nukes, but their newest test, along with the previous ones, only goes to show that the closest shore they could even think of threatening is Japan. Is that a bad thing? Sure. But not nearly as bad as watching San Francisco or LA disappear under a mushroom cloud. Threatening Japan is not a smart thing to do. Like Taiwan, we have dedicated ourselves to defending it. They are an ally.
But there comes a point, like with Saddam Hussein, where one must confront evil, and Kim Jong-Il is an evil man. Anyone who disregards that is literally an idiot. My archives will give you an idea of the hell that the populace of North Korea goes through. And if that isn’t enough, Christopher Hitchens—HARDLY a defender of the vast right-wing conspiracy—has an absolutely premier column today addressing North Korea.
Neither of us are worthy are comparing to him. Just read Mr. Hitchens’ column today, and compliment it with or posts in February and March. (Both of us have read Christopher Hitchens' column. It is excellent.)
