MOONBATS Galore For The MSM To Hype
Are these people plain nuts, or is it me? I’m actually beginning to think the world is just plain stupid when it comes to the law. Hat-Tip To LGF for this one.

THE HAGUE (AFP) - A court in The Hague turned down a demand by a dozen plaintiffs who wanted to force the Dutch government to arrest US President George W. Bush when he visits the Netherlands Saturday, the judgment made public said.
The plaintiffs, mostly left-wing organizations and activists, accused Bush of "numerous grave violations of the Geneva Conventions". They also said the president is responsible for the deaths of civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq and Washington's refusal to recognize the International Criminal Court (ICC), the world's first permanent war crimes court.
OK. My other half made a solid argument against a story earlier this morning regarding these supposed war crimes and tortures perpetuated by our government. Now, it’s my turn. And as many of you can expect, the wit’s just below the boiling point. So buckle up.
It is to be expected that the Hague would turn down any request for arrest and prosecution of Pres. Bush. Know why? First off, we don’t belong to the ICC. I dare the ICC to issue a warrant for the arrest of Pres. Bush. Want to see a conflagration? I’ll take the Secret Service, and walk away smiling. The ICC has ZERO jurisdiction even making an attempt, and these left-wing nut jobs have no reasoning of the law, international or otherwise.
We adhered to the rules of the Geneva Convention. Those rules give no protections to terrorists. And those on the Left can scream and wail all they want, but the truth of the matter is that these people have no protections under the laws recognized by nations participating in the Geneva Convention. None. They get no civilian lawyers. They get no access to our courts. The have nothing to do—whatsoever—with our civilian justice system. And I know that really ticks a few people off, like the ACLU (Only so happy to oblige), but it’s time to face facts. You’re not winning this debate. No matter how many activist judges you get to agree with you, eventually the common sense thinking Americans here will have the final word, and the Anti-Conservative Legist Union will be long gone, and dealt with.
That’s not a threat, to all you Tom DeLay haters out there; that’s called a promise. People in this country are absolutely fed up with the Left and how they attempt—on a day-to-day basis—to tear this nation down. It ain’t happening on my watch. The ACLU’s days are numbered, as are a number of other anti-American groups. This isn’t about "nationalism". It’s about what’s right, and I for one am pretty fed up with being told what is and isn’t good. I can figure that one out on my own.
What is right for this nation is a return to the Constitutional principles that the Framers set down. The Constitution has never been a living, breathing document. It has been rock solid. It does have an amending process, and as I stated earlier, it’s a difficult process. One must be absolutely sure of making an amendment to the Constitution. It’s not something to be done lightly. And EVERYONE has a say in it. Not only must Congress wrestle with the issue, but so do the States and the people.
But what has been done by the Left is an enhancement of what was supposed to have been the weakest and least dangerous branches of the government to our rights, our freedoms, and our liberties. The judiciary no longer acts like that. And that is a cross we must bear here in America.
But what those abroad think, in terms of the law is, irrelevant. The law is as it is stated. There is no true interpretation needed. I disregard the farce of the ICC, as it has no bearing on this nation, and I turn to the rules of the Geneva Convention. These people we have detained have no protections at all under the Geneva Convention. And I openly challenge anyone who thinks I’m wrong. Show me under the Convention where these people have ANY protections. And before you decide to take up that challenge, answer the following three questions.
1) Were these people caught in a marked, recognized uniform of the enemy?
2) Were they operating under the direction of a known and recognized
commander of the enemy?
3) Did the country they were caught in (Iraq or Afghanistan) acknowledge that
these people fought on their behalf, with their knowledge, and their approval?
If the answer to any of those questions is "No" (which it is to each one) then these people deserve no protections under the law. They have their defense in front of a military tribunal, but that’s it. That’s as far as it goes. Even if the ICC were to accept an appeal from one of these people (Which I don’t think it can) who’s going to enforce their judgment? The French? The UN? Morons...we are the UN. Without the United States, it doesn’t exist. It’s already irrelevant; I’m waiting for it’s extinction. When that happens, I hope it takes all of it’s Left-wing communist, socialist—Stalinist—people ad groups with it. The world would be far better off
without these incompetent fools sticking their noses where they don’t belong.
