Final Warning
This is the last time I’m going to address this issue. We here at the Asylum like to write. We like our regular readers, and non-regular ones, that come here and read our thoughts on current events. And we encourage comments. It isn’t hard to do. All someone has to do is click on the comments, click anonymous, and type the comment. You don’t even have to sign up with Blogger.com to be able to post. However, yesterday, a foul-mouthed tirade was put up on my entry on Cindy Sheehan.
I could care less what the little Lefty punk had to say in terms of accusations. There was no rhyme, reason, or common sense to the post. What I will not tolerate, and Marcie agrees with me on this, is profanity. This is not DailyKos, or any other port side blog. Profanity is not going to persuade anyone on any issue. If you want to post up your opinions, fine. If you want to post up opinions that have no logic behind them, fine. But WE won’t accept anymore profanity.
If this occurs again, WE will suspend the ability to comment on ANY of our posts. The only way that anyone will be able to comment will be via e-mail.
We, again, ask that if you want to comment, do so, but leave the profanity at the door. That goes for anyone on the right or the left of the ideological spectrum. You want to call us "stupid" or "morons" or "asinine," you knock yourselves out. Our writing is well-reasoned, and well-researched. It speaks for itself. You’re entitled to your opinions, but in the interest of being professional, all we ask is you leave your expletives and your swearing out of the debate, and out of the comments.
And just an aside here, the person who posted this nasty little tirade didn’t even have the guts to post their name. This is absolutely typical of the Left, which is why I come down as hard as I do on these people. These people are wrong, and they know it. They have seen their side of the spectrum slip into comedic mediocrity. But the comedy ends when they have to resort to profanity-laced name calling.
And for the record, I am not a lock-step Republican that believes the president can do no wrong. I dislike how he is handling border security. I dislike how he has increased the spending of our money going to Washington. I dislike his support of Israel to kow-tow to the terrorists in their nation. I dislike how he refuses to punish Mexico for their continued endorsement of illegal immigration. And lastly, I dislike how, even though he blew off the UN in the run-up to the Iraq phase of the war, he still continues to go back and give these idiots any credence. There, I said it. I’m a conservative, and an originalist to boot. But I’m not a Republican kool-aid drinker. If you’re going to throw accusations around—to those on the Left side of the aisle—get your facts straight. Otherwise you make yourself look real stupid.
