10,000, And Counting...
It has been a long, and tedious year thus far. (Yes, I know the year is not over yet, but a milestone has been reached.) We are over 10,000 hits on this site now. We mark this only because it will be one of many, but because there were a few that doubted we would reach this level. To those people, you were wrong.
But we couldn't have done it without regular readers. Non-regulars played their fair share. Links are links, after all, links. Some carry more weight than others. But, we'd like to pause to recognize a few people who should share in this much as we are. To Raw and Ace, you guys were there the whole way; never doubting our talent or intelligence, and always ready to be supportive and a listening ear when we needed it. Thank you for being here.
To Hope, you were the first blogger to link us, and support us. Like Raw, you offered your insight and made us think. You also prompted us to do better. You were there once we launched the Asylum, and were integral in pushing us to our best.
To people like hugh Hewitt and Pajamas Media, Wide Awake Cafe, and Les Enfants Terible for linking to us on stories you thought were noteworthy enough to notice. The names grew in prominence with the posts, recognizing a level of talent that was prominent in the blogosphere.
We have been consistent in our ideas. We have done our best, pushed ourselves to limits we thought were no achievable. We still have a ways to go; we are not finished growing and cultivating this site, yet. And we will always be here. Others have dropped by the wayside, unable to contend with people who believe in the concept of blogging. During this time, we have defended bloggers with every keystroke. We know what we are doing because we have done it for so long.
We have been here for as many stories as we can be. We're getting better at catchign them as they come down, and we've stayed as close to our ideology as we can. We hope that the readers have seen us grow as much as we've seen from one another. The addition of Sabrina has taken the burden from Marcie and I, but it's one I'm afraid we're not totally ready to part with; once this is in the blood, it's kind of hard to shake it. Even when we've taken our respective "leaves-of-absence" or "sabbaticals,' we still manage to post.
So, for those wishing we would got the way of the do-do, think again. We have been here this long and we are not going anywhere. For those that are regular readers, stick around. We are only going to get better. And that does not reflect the site. This site has never been about making a profit; it always has been, and hopefully will be, about knowledge, information, and conservative thought in the 21st Century.

I'm humbled. Thank you. I see in you two and Sabrina a shinning light for truth. Your love of our Constitution is priceless. The torch is passed. Hold it high with pride. Rawriter
