This RINO Is Feeding Our Enemies...

Hey, everyone knows I'm no fan of John McCain. I dislike this man the way I dislike most of the Left. He has claimed he's a "Reagan Republican" which is a laugh and a half. But, I noticed this today. I don't often listen to Rush Limbaugh, but I picked it up today while I was flipping between stations. This is the transcript:

I'm frustrated. I'm angry about this and I'm going to try to maintain my composure as I go through this. "Sen. John McCain claimed Wednesday that the U.S. is still torturing terrorist detainees, even as Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice visits with European leaders to assure them that the practice is banned under U.S. law." McCain was on the radio yesterday saying, "We've got to stop this torture. If you torture somebody, they're going to tell you what they think you want to know in order to make the pain stop." Well, McCain himself once admitted that torture worked on him. He gave up more than his name, rank and serial number when he was in the Hanoi Hilton. "The maverick Republican senator said, 'The US can't win the propaganda war if people believe throughout the world that you are practicing cruel, inhuman, degrading mistreatment or torture on the people that you capture.'" Well, who is creating the notion that this is happening, senator? Democrats and you! Democrats and you are the ones that perpetuate the notion that we torture.

This is as irritating to me as it is for Mr. Limbaugh. He's directly undermining the efforts being put forward by this administration. Further, he's directly contradicting the Secretary of State while she's abroad on official business. All I have to say to Sen. McCain is where's your proof? What proof do you have that we're torturing ANYONE? You have none. You definition of torture obviously differs greatly from mine, and it certainly differs with the people who post here, as well.

The United States doesn't engage in torture. We don't do it. Not only is it against our laws--the laws laid out by Congress in the past--but it's against the Geneva Convention, as well. Is Sen. McCain listening to the detainees that are claiming they're being tortured, or does he have information that he's not sharing? I'm guessing that he's using the same talking points that the detainees use once they're released. That tactic is straight out of their training manual. Is Sen. McCain abiding by the enemies' tactics?

It seems as though he is, to me.

Maybe I'm prejudiced. I don't like Sen. McCain. As far as I'm concerned he's a detriment to the Republican party. Others that I know would call him a traitor. My personal beliefs on that charge I'll keep to myself. Even I know that treason isn't easy to prove, and it's a serious allegation to make. I think that Sen. McCain is bringing this up now because he's prepping for a run in 2008. If he keeps moving in this direction, he's going to be knocked out in the primaries, again. Only this time, it won't be Pres. Bush. It'll be someone else, and hopefully, someone far better than him. I've still got my eye on a possible Allen/Kyl ticket, which would be devestating to Sen. McCain's possibilities in '08.

Sen. Allen has been in the senate since 2000. He served out of the Seventh District in the House for the state of Virginia, and served as Virginia's governor from '94-'98. As we know, governors win elections, not senators. This is due to the fact that governors lead whereas senators compromise. We want a leader in the White House. Sen. McCain has show in recent years that he panders to the Left. He's doing it right now with this torture legislation that he's throwing a fit over. Remember that this man threatened to attach this to EVERY piece of Senate legislation until it's approved of and the president signs it.

If anyone thinks that the Democrats aren't sitting there with s**t-eating grins on their faces, you're as foolish as McCain.

Of course the Left is enjoying this. He's a prominent member of the GOP majority in the Senate, he's a potential candidate in '08, and he's rocking the party's boat again. This guy needs to be put on a short leash by the leadership in the Senate, and by the president. He's already facing disaster in '06; too many members of his precious "Gang of 14" are up for reelection, and things aren't looking good for a majority of them. Both Nelsons on the Democrat side are facing stiff opposition, and a couple of key RINOs are also facing opposition. Bob Byrd's already sown in his home state of West Virginia, and there are plenty of moderates already trying to distance themselves from McCain.

But he is enabling not only our enemies abroad by buying into the torture lies, but he's enabling the Democrats over here. Time to rein in this SOB before he kills whatever momentum the GOP could muster this coming election year. If the public sees this, and equates it to weakness on the war, we'll be no better off than the Democrats are right now. America needs to know that this administration is willing to take steps--sometimes drastic ones--to ensure the security of this nation. If Sen. McCain doesn't get this by now, then he's never going to understand it, and that means he doesn't have what it takes to be president.

I can and will say that mccain is a traitor. He know what he says is picked up by our enemies as soon as he utters the words. He giving aid and comfort to the enemy. The 7 + 7 gang of thugs hijacked the senate. They violated their oath of office. Again, our enemy picked up on this and it shows what they perceive as one of our weaknesses. We did nothing and you can bet our enemy took note of this as well. I do not like mccain and I will take the word of other POW's over his any day. Traitor and rino fits him. He puts his inflated ego before our country. He has no shame. He's not fit to serve in the Senate let alone President.
( Lower case of his name is intentional to show my disgust with him). Rawriter
