***BREAKING NEWS*** Residents In Haifa Ordered To Seek Cover
Residents in the northern Israeli city of Haifa--its third largest city--have been ordered to seek shelter as another series of Hezbollah rockets are launched. But, on the heels of the second breaking news story from FOX News, this war is about to heat up. According to the news report on the TV, they are reporting that the recent rockets hitting Haifa aren't such, but rather missiles. And they happen to be the sort that are owned and operated, for the most part, by Iranian Revolutionary Guard units.
It should be noted that Allah Pundit has a report from YNET News that the object was indeed a rocket, and of the Katyusha type raining down on Israel overnight. In other words, there is no evidence showing Iran's direct involvement.
However experts, and "lay scholars" like ourselves, do believe that Iran is behind this. They may not be directly linked to the attacks, but they are connected to both terrorists organizations that are causing the chaos int he Middle East right now. And Allah Pundit points out that CNN also reported the Iranian connection in the use of the missile/rocket attack on Haifa.
In addition, resident moonbat-in-chief, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued a statement today warning Israel that it was not wise to go after Syria:
“If the Zionist regime commits another stupid move and attacks Syria, this will be considered like attacking the whole Islamic world and this regime will receive a very fierce response,”
Right. Gotcha. But I doubt much will be executed by Iran when and if Israel sets it's sites on President Assad's Syria. Not unless they want their own nose bitten off. Israel does have the weapons to deal with Iran, and I doubt President Ahmadinejad would like to see his nuclear program go up in smoke. And, though I think many have missed this by now, the war Israel is engaged in gives us the opportunity to assist our longtime ally if they decide an airstrike is needed on Iranian nuclear targets.

UPDATE: 4:26 p.m. Arizona Time
YNET News is reporting that Hezbollah has issued a statement regarding the supposed missile/rocket attack:
The Hizbullah said they fired a Raad 1 missile at Israel.
"That's the missile used by Hizbullah to respond to Israeli attack and to hit military strongholds of the Zionist enemy. The rocket is of 333 mm in diameter and has a warhead of 100 kilograms. Our fighters used it today when they attacked the military base in Har Meron which was severely damaged and set on fire."
A senior Military Intelligence officer told the Knesset's Defense and Foreign Affairs Committee that Hizbullah possesses thousands of rockets with a 20-kilometer firing range as well as some 100 rockets capable of reaching targets of 40-70 kilometers.
I stated thart it was a possibility the MSM sources could have been wrong. Of course, I am not accepting Hezbollah at its word, either. Iran is still at the heart of this conflict, and is enjoying this series of events.
