And This Is Why Bloggers Are Better Than The MSM
A story is ripping through the blogosphere right now regarding some doctored photos found by Little Green Footballs.
(Hat-Tip: Captain Ed)
It appears, based on Charles Johnson's analysis of some Reuters photos, that the media is falling right back in line with Thomas's evaluation of their recent behavior that he posted earlier this evening. As if the fighting over in Lebanon is not bad enough, Reuters decided to doctor a photo. Heck, even a group of sports photographers agree that the photo has been doctored.
To add more fuel to the fire, or to Reuters woes on this one, the photographer is Adnan Hajj. Who is Mr. Hajj? Mr. Hajj was made famous with his photos from Qana. That story is now being rightly questioned within the blogosphere. The evidence mounting against the Lebanese/Hezbollah story is damning, thanks to Charles and a good number of other bloggers on the job.
So, the question comes to mind of what Mr. Hajj's job really is? Is it to be a journalist, reporting on a story, providing people with all the facts a photograph can produce?
Or is he pushing for a job with al-Manar, Hezbollah's propaganda news service?

One of the most piteous products of propaganda I caught whiff of. When you try to rocket a message, make sure the prototype doesn’t disintegrate on liftoff. However, you can’t stand, blowing buff to bloggers, when they often engage in “Photoshop tactics” as well if not to manipulate readers, to enhance their content. With the mainstream media, given their status as Exhibit A under the public microscope, blatant deceptions comes undone mighty quicky and underneath a fierce firestorm. Deceive your readers online and you could merrily be playing your gig for months.
