Guest Blogging: Those Nutty Dems In Meltdown Mode

Howard Dean, DNC Chairman, was in Arizona this weekend, and he was outlining the battle plan for the Democrats in 2006 and 2008.

"This is going to be the same platform in Alabama and Arizona as it is in Northern California and the Midwest," Dean told the Tribune on Friday. "We are going to run the same campaign everywhere in America, and that’s how we are going to win."

YEARGHHH! (Sorry, I couldn't resist it.)

Dean began working on a national strategy shortly after taking over in early 2005 a party rocked by the re-election of President Bush and the loss of additional congressional seats to Republicans. The former presidential candidate, still best remembered for his televised yowl after losing the Iowa primary, was propelled to the helm by a grassroots coalition that believed the party needed a fresh, more confrontational approach for appealing to moderate Republicans and independent voters.

Confrontational? Does the base understand that they allowed a certifiable nut, and the extreme, frothing moonbats to hijack their party. Take a look at what this man has done for the Democrats since taking the chairmanship. He's insulted the GOP at every turn, and has even been told by the elected Democrats to cool the rhetoric. "Howling Mad" Howie, as Thomas likes to call him, is wrecking the party. The people that will be put up are not the sort of people that mom-and-pop America is going to go for. And what's worse is what will happen in 2008. There is no doubt in my mind that Hillary will be a considerable heavyweight pushing for the nomination of her party. She's anything but moderate, and it wouldn't surprise me if the party basically annoints her as the one who will run against whomever the GOP chooses.

So Dean spent months surveying leaders and likely candidates in every state to gather ideas for a common message. The result is somewhat similar to the 1994 "Contract with America" that launched an eventual Republican sweep of Congress and the White House.

Although Democrats publicly cringe at the comparison, the new agenda even includes a couple of the same issues as the 1994 Republican plan.

The Democrats claim to be the party of new ideas, yet they're falling back on an old plan developed by one of their chief nemesises from the 1990s. What the base probably thinks is that they do have new ideas. The truth is much more diabolical. There is nothing new to this plan. There are five key things that Dean was said to have addressed today.

--Honesty and integrity in government. (Honesty and integrity from a party that covered up for a lying, philandering, asleep-at-the-wheel president in the 1990s?)

--New Iraq policy to reduce the military's role and it's vulnerability to attack. (Here's the cut-and-run strategy all over again.)

--Limit outsourcing of American jobs and create new ones. (Need we remind the Democrats that they were as much behind the outsourcing of jobs as the GOP was, and both sides still are heavily involved with this.)

--Move towards universal health care. (Danger Will Robinson; it's HillaryCare all over again!)

--Improving public education. (More than likely, their answer is to increase the funding, rather than holding schools and teachers accountable for their work.)

"You can’t trust them with your money," Dean said. "You can’t trust them to tell the truth. You can’t trust them to manage the war. You can’t trust them if you have a natural disaster. Now tell me why people are going to vote for Republicans?"

The Democrats are just as much at fault for the pork spending in DC. As a matter of fact, they have a longer record of it than the GOP does. And telling the truth? Where is he getting that? Is he stuck on stupid, and still believes the administration lied about Iraq to launch the invasion? Or, is he referring to Scooter Libby? The last time I checked the only liar involved with the Plame investigation is Joe Wilson, who should be put under oath, and compelled to testify. The GOP is handling the war much better than the Democrats would have. Anyone remember John Kerry and his "global test" that he proposed in the first debate? What about the flip-flopping going on right now amongst the Democrats. Those that admitted they voted for the war, but are now embarrassed by that vote. Nancy Pelosi is supporting John Murtha's proposal of a troop withdrawal. These people would abandon a fledgling Iraq to the animals attacking it's citrizens. And as for natural disasters, Mayor Nagin and Governor Blanco are directly responsible for the problems from Katrina, not the federal government.

With this simple statement, Howard Dean has revealed how truly stupid he is when it comes to the powers of the federal government regarding disasters. He's shown how foolish he is when it comes to interpreting laws (innocent until proven guilty, Mr. Dean, ever heard of it?). He has shown this nation that he knows absolutely nothing about military operations at all, and what it takes to win a war.

"In the shadow of economic expansion, historic Iraqi elections and a diminishing achievement gap in the classroom, Howard Dean is left with pessimistic and stale political attacks that resonate solely with the far-left," said Tucker Bounds, a spokesman for the Republican National Committee.

Mr. Bounds is absolutely correct. The antics and increasingly shrill rhetoric emanating from the Democrat Party is not going to bring more people into the fold. It will drive the majority of the base away. These are the people that the party is built on. And when they see that they're being frozen out in favor of a more Left-leaning, socialist ideology in the party, he will drive those JFK/FDR Democrats right into the hands of the GOP. He'll have his base of moonbats, but he will have destroyred that party, relegating it to near-third party status. The Democrats knew that this was a possibility, and after reading this piece, it's almost assured. Dean has no clue what to do to win in 2006 or in 2008. It will be the same old tired rhetoric from the last thrity years, or so, and that has not resonated with his party. If it had, then Al Gore wouldn't have lost in 2000. John Kerry wouldn't have lost in 2004. And the Democrats would still have a stranglehold on Congress. None of that happened, and it was because the majority of America doesn't believe in that. Their doom-and-gloom fear tactics didn't work. They haven't worked since 1994 when the Democrats started losing. And they won't work now.

Let them become the third party. I'd rather fight with Libertarians or Constitutionalists!

I predict that Screaming Dean won't be a spoke person for the democrats much longer. I understand he isn't doing the job of raising money. It seems that hollyweird is unhappy with him and hillary. He's never got what the 2004 election was all about. We, the people, reject socialism. I still question his medical credentials. Rawriter
