"Fauxtography" MSM Style
OK. Quick recap for those just showing up to Happy Hour at the Asylum ...
Saturday night, Reuters ran a photo. Thanks to an intrepid blogosphere (in and of itself a community of "experts," for those keeping score) discovered that the photo was, well, Photoshopped. It had been deliberately altered to give the appearance of a harder and harsher air raid by the Israelis. It's what historians would call "yellow journalism." It's invention, not fact, and it was designed to continue feeding those opposed to the Israelis fighting an enemy that did attack them. All this came about after I had posted a rant regarding the media, in general. My how the sounds of truth emanate ...
Regardless of that, today we add a new entry into this category, and the New York times is the one being hit now. Tyler Hicks captured the photos Michelle has lined up. (FOLLOW the links to see how the rest of the bloggers have reacted. The evisceration doled out isn't pretty. Believe me, there are guts everywhere.)
Then, Allah Pundit opened up the floodgates. And this was a busy day for him when he posted that even he couldn't keep up with all the tips.
Trust me. Go there. Follow the links. They'll tell the story, and lay it all out. In short folks, the media isn't even close to unbiased. They where their heart on their sleeve. Either that or they're the laziest bunch of so-and-so's I've ever seen.
