Folks, You Can't Buy Comedy Like This ...

Dan Rather, former CBS News anchorman and resident fibber, had a sit-down interview with Larry King last night. It's all summed up in this simple exchange:

KING: You’re saying that was a fair report, I mean that was — you believe that report to this day?

RATHER: Do I believe the truth of the story, absolutely.

Ex-squeeze me? Baking powder? It sounds to me that Dan Rather has jumped off the high dive into an empty pool again, and admitted tot he world that he belives his own bravo-sierra. For a re-cap of how nutter this guy is--how deluded the Left can get--I refer our readers to Charles Johnson at Little Green Footballs for this flash media showing a direct comparison between Rather's memo and the typed one by Charles. It's uncanny, and it's the most damning piece of evidence showing that Dan Rather is a dupe or a liar.

And Larry King let him off the hook with that question, and accepted his word without a challenge. Maybe he doesn't like to make his guests cry. On that thought, maybe he likes to seem as interviewers should have been for the past 40, or so, years--as unbiased and neutral as they come.

No one said guys like Larry King were bearable, or even tolerable. I'm just saying he's probably one of the most unbiased interviewers out there. It doesn't change the fact that Dan Rather is still acting like the "rebel without a clue."
