Blog Reactions: The 101st KeeBees Speak Up

I have given the round-ups available thus far. But we rarely get a day to focus on the 101st Fighting KeeBees. Today sems like a prime day to do so, especially after this morning's news alert. Let us move this update along ...

Woman Honor Thyself has a round up of links and some thoughts regarding the banned items.

Dean's World has CAIR's response to the investigations, and tightened security:

"The American Muslim community supports efforts to ensure the safety and security of the traveling public," said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. "We once again urge law enforcement authorities and elected officials to caution against stereotyping entire religious or ethnic groups based on the alleged actions of individuals."

No one is calling for any sort of profiling or stereotyping. However, an extra level of scrutiny should be, and I am sure has been, instituted at airports. To do otherwise would be foolish particularly after the other terror story involving a suspected Hezbollah cell in Dearborn, Michigan. And no, there is no word as yet if these incidents are connected. But I am reminded of the arrests that took place worldwide right before the Ontario cell was taken down. More to follow? Maybe.

Learned Foot at the Kool-Aid Report highlights an exchange between Soledad O'Brien and our favorite propagandist, Michael Moore. They are, at this time, discussing his new book, when Soledad O'Brien pulls a quote from the book that Michael Moore does not deny:

O'BRIEN: I'm just curious. You say there is no terrorist threat. And, actually, I read that twice. I was like, hang on. What? Let me go back

(CROSSTALK)

MOORE: Yes. I put it in there twice just so you could read it twice.

O'BRIEN: Right. There is no terrorist threat.

MOORE: That's correct.

O'BRIEN: I think, for anybody, certainly for those of us who were here on 9/11 in New York City would say, what are you talking about?

MOORE: On, no,there was a horrible terrorist incident, tragic. But to say that there's a general terrorist threat every day, that just isn't true. It's important for the news media to keep that going.

I hear that the Green Helmet Guy is looking for an assistant. Maybe Michael can speak with Adnan Hajj about a job; propagandists of a feather stick together ...

Matrix at Neocon Express states that he is relieved that the president solidly identified our enemies, and minced little words about them:

"The recent arrests that our fellow citizens are now learning about are a stark reminder that this nation is at war with Islamic fascists who will use any means to destroy those of us who love freedom, to hurt our nation."

It is all well and good that we identify that there are many moderate Muslims throughout Islam that do not adhere to the murderous ideology of our enemy. However, as Lebanon has been hijacked by Hezbollah, so Islam has by the Islamofascists.

Bit's Blog picks up on the "Dearbornstan" story:

Investigators in southeast Ohio said they were working to unravel how two Michigan men charged with supporting terrorism came to have airplane passenger lists and airport security information.

And who did they sell those 600 tracphones to, precisely?

ChicagoRay wants to know how long it will be before the Democrats come trotting out with the "we are still vulnerable" mantra. He says it will be in the afternoon. However, the New York Times showed that it took less time than Ray believed:

The Democratic leader of the Senate, Harry Reid of Nevada, countered that because of “mismanagement” and the distraction caused by the Iraq war, “we are not as safe as we should be.”

This latest plot demonstrates the need for the Bush administration to change course in Iraq and make sure that we are taking all the steps necessary to protect Americans,’’ Mr. Reid said in a statement.

As if Iraq had anything to do with approximately 21 British-born, Pakistani males attempting to use airplanes as weapons like al-Qaeda did on 9/11? Senator Reid needs to sit down for awhile. I think the champagne from the Lamont victory is fogging up his head.

The Anti-Strib does a bit of ranting regarding the terror plot that was averted. and he has a point in the title that fits squarely on the Left and the antiwar moonbats: "Jihad? What Jihad?"

* * * * *

Liberty and Justice takes up the torch of highlighting the infamous "Green-Helmet Guy" during his Michael Moore-esque escapades through sourthern Lebanon on a "Hebollywood" romp through propaganda film-making.

CardinaPark at TigerHawk explains that Joe Lieberman is now "liberated" to explain himself, and his support of the war. He answers to no one other than the people and himself. Sure, he will be treated like a leper in the Senate until November. And if he does win (which we hope that he does), he will be openly avoided and/or attacked by his former associates.

All Things Beautiful is keeping up with the British Bomb Plot updates, and she also points out the moonbats on the march at Democratic Underground:

"Have to keep the Sheep Afraid.”

“‘plot’ ??? i’m dubious”

“The UK government mostly lie about these things. So i’ll wait and see what actually is going on. What does “foiled” mean anyway, obviously it hasnt been foiled as they have these restrictions in place. ”

“now with BP oil shut down..could Blair being holding back fuel for the british airlines..and US carriers..in preperation for a air strike on Iran?”

“It’s more to do with Blair trying to use the same tactics the neocons use on America: keep the populace in a permanent state of fear to drown out any critical thinking.”

“Tony Blair’s ass is on fire for being America’s dogtail - as they like to call it in the UK. Stories like this are sponsored by his government and are planned way ahead and are designed for times like this to distract people from what’s really going on and to try and cover his ass.”

“Help justify no real ceasefire or withdrawal in Lebanon”

“Why is this major disruption being discussed NOW. What else is going on? This sounds lke another Bush diversion tactic…Get the media to discuss terror, because there is something else that they don’t want us discussing. Bait & Switch technique."

And as Alexandra pointed out that she did not make this up, neither did I. These are exact quotes from the tin-foil hat crowd that just does not seem to get it.

And, in closing, Flap has comments regarding Iran's rejection of the pressure brought ot bear on them from the United Nations Security Council.

So, while the bomb plot is indeed the lead story today, there are other ones out there well worth checking out thanks to the diligence of the KeeBees.
